Daring’s room was on the bottom floor of the penthouse, far away from mine and Jormun’s bedrooms. Andra brought me to the door and then stood off to the side.

“I can wait out here while you… tend to Daring,” she said as she nodded her head at me.

I sighed and stood before the door for a moment. I could already smell an intoxicatingly familiar scent. I had smelled something similar when Killian was in heat, though the scent itself was different in some way.

“Don’t let anyone disturb us,” I commanded before opening the door to his bedroom and letting myself in.

The room was dark with the curtains drawn. It was much smaller than mine or Jormun’s bedroom, but still a large bedroom.

“Daring?” I called out his name as I made my way through the room. I noticed a door that was closed on the other side of the room and headed straight toward it.
