Chapter 55. Outlaw

"I think we all need to calm down." The mage said, coming to stand in front of Germaine.

Alarm bells flared wildly inside Germaine's mind. She had heard those words before, right before a shit storm of drama came falling all around her. She stood with balled fists, looking around at the mage, and then at the woman, who had on a long, black coat with a long dagger and cutlass, peeking out from behind her back. She looked like she was going on a dangerous hunt.

"Who are you people?" She asked, looking at them wonderingly. 

The frown on the woman's face gave way to a smile, and she nodded. "Keep this fire up and you might get out of this alive."

"Ennie..." the mage said to the woman, a hint of warning coating his words. Turning to Germaine, he took a hold of her hand gently. "Come! You should be sitting down, not standing or moving around. You almost drowned, remember, so you need to find your equilibrium first."
