Chapter 7
“Is that everything?” She asked. She plastered a fake smile across her lips, deciding not to let him see how pissed she was.
“One last thing. You get paid $25,000 monthly,” he informed her. He moved his chair forward and went back to using his laptop, leaving Erin gasping for air.
“25… 25… $25,000?” She asked in bewilderment. Her hand flew to her mouth in disbelief. $25,000 was a lot of money. It would clear up her rent and possibly get her a new apartment. Receiving such an amount of money monthly for the job of a personal assistant was a dream come true for her. It was definitely bigger than what she expected. Her last job paid her $10,000. She wanted to scream and exclaim, but she reminded herself not to embarrass herself further in front of him.
Instead of jumping, she rose in the most put-together manner she could afford and offered a smile to Uriah, a genuine smile this time.
“Thank you really much,” she said. He dismissed her with the wave of his hand,
