The rain had already stopped falling, and I watched as Aunt Jane was taken into custody by the law enforcement officials. I didn’t show any compassion for her, despite the fact that she begged me to forgive her and asked me not to turn her over to the authorities. She ought to be punished for attempting to kill my family.
‘‘Sir, are you coming with us to the station?’’ Jason questioned as he stood on the threshold of the entranceway, looking around the house as his eyes searched for Celine.
‘‘She’s unaware of the situation that happened. Maybe… she's already asleep...’’ I brushed my hair in frustration for forgetting to check on her. ‘‘Call me if I need to be there. I’ll come right away…’’
He nodded.
‘‘Thank you, Jason…’’ I gave him a light tap on the shoulder just as he was about to turn around and got to his car, following the police mobile.
I grumbled as I locked the front door and went back into the kitchen to clean the milk
