Chapter 16. Stop This Madness!
Lex’s POV
“Lotus, what the hell are you doing?” I yelled as he crashed into the wall. Paintings tumbled to the floor, shards of glass scattering, and the unmistakable scent of blood filled my nostrils.
“Stop! Stop this madness!” I ordered. “There’s no way we can find her like this!”
He shook his head, struggling to his feet as a burning sensation radiated from my left side—a deep cut embedded in my shoulder. He winced, pressing his hand against the wall for support, eyes wild with desperation.
“I can’t help it,” he muttered, pulling a shard of glass from my shoulder and leaving a deep gash in its place—definitely going to scar.
