Calista’s POV

“Hey! Party night at 525 Briarwood Lane with my classmates. They hope you can come, and I’m wondering if you actually might show up…” I sent all those messages with my heart pounding, unsure if it was a good idea.

“You did it!” Emma exclaimed happily as she grabbed my arms.

“Yes,” I whispered with an awkward smile. I couldn’t even imagine them running into each other and had no idea how they would react.

Serafina sighed. “Why on earth do you look so sad? You’re connected with the center-of-attention guys, and you’re not even happy about getting some attention yourself?” She shook her head, clicking her tongue, and wrapped her arms around her chest.
