Ameira’s POV
“You’re really driving me crazy, Ameira,” he repeated, his words echoing in my mind like a broken record. I didn’t know what to say in response to his statement, and I couldn’t even find the words to speak as I felt my own tongue tied in his intense gaze. I swallowed nervously while still looking at him.
“You have no idea how many nights you kept me awake, Ameira. I wanted to see your face again that night, but you left and disappeared like a bubble. You are a mystery to me, and that mystery turned into misery as the days went by without seeing you,” he said seriously, reiterating his words.
Xandros words confused me even more because I didn’t understand what he meant. From the way he spoke, it seemed like he had seen me before, aside from our encounter on the ship.
