Chapter 39

“I think I had sex with my ex-boyfriend’s brother,” Ameira said while still in a daze. She stared into space, avoiding eye contact with her friend who was sitting beside her.

“What? Are you serious, Ameira?” Lexie asked, taking a few seconds to process what Ameira had just said. Ameira remained silent for a moment before speaking again. “But how could that happen? I don’t think he has a brother,” she added.

“He never mentioned having a brother because I never met his family!” Ameira replied, slumping back onto the couch.

Ameira remembered how her world came to a halt when she found out that Xandros, the guy she had been involved with, was somehow connected to her ex-boyfriend, Mateo, and worse yet—they were brothers!

Ameira slowly opened her eyes that morning. Her body had grown accustomed to waking up early due to her work schedule, so even though she knew she had barely slept last night and felt somewhat tired, she woke up. As sh
