“Alpha, long live Crescent Moon. We’ll always be triumphant.” Owen smiled broadly as he approached me.

“Yes, we will. Thanks to our collective efforts.” My voice sounded so shallow instead of ecstatic.

We won the battle against the rogues in the early hours of today. They had given us a surprise attack but my warriors are always alert.

Not even their sophisticated weapons could make them win the battle against us. Though they burnt down two buildings and injured some of my warriors, it couldn’t be compared to the large number of rogues that we eliminated.

My warriors were busy celebrating their victory, and their howls could be heard miles away.

“We’re the hunters and not the haunted,” they kept shouting over and over again.

I observed them silently but I wasn’t in the mood to celebrate our triumph.
