Chapter 88. Captured by Rogues

When I got deep into the forest, I slowed my speed. Crescent moon was far behind me and there was no need for me to continue running.
My mission was to find a cave and dwell in it.
The wind was cold but I wasn’t affected by it. Every part of me felt numb and I didn’t care what the weather was doing to my body.
I walked with caution, and paid keen attention to my environment. I know I’m a wolf and we are usually not afraid of other animals but I was alone with no one to defend me.
If wolves wanted to hunt, they always did in group.
But I was all by myself.
All my life I’ve always felt alone but I wasn’t quite so broken the way I am right now.
Tears flowed down my cheeks and I wrapped my arms around myself like I was giving myself a hug.
I moved deeper into the trees, trying to push back the ache in my chest. The content of the letter replayed in my mind over and over again, making me dizzy.
