Chapter 149. Brown

Peggy’s POV.

I heard heavy knocks on the door and that was enough to tell me that it wasn’t Ox who was at the door. He had told me before heading out that I wasn’t to open the door for anyone to come in. He had access to the room already since it had a fingerprint lock feature outside.

I wondered who it could be but I was scared to go open the door. I sat still and didn’t open the door, hoping that whoever the visitor was would go since I didn’t answer but it didn’t work.

The knocks persisted and it bothered me a whole lot.

I went to the door and tried to find out who it was and what they wanted.

“Who are you?!” I yelled at the top of my voice. The door was huge and thick and if the person at the other side was going to hear me I needed to raise my voice.

“Open the door Peggy, I need to get something for Ox.”

That was Brown. My fear increased tremendously because I didn’t know what he wanted and I was scared to let him in.
