Mist's POV

“Mate?” His tone of voice was different from his normal one; it was much deeper and rougher. I took a step back, causing a spark of pain to appear in his eyes that soon faded. Her body tensed again as I heard the person behind her let out a whimper, so I wanted to see who it was; I had barely paid attention to this woman. I couldn’t as the wolf placed his arm so I couldn’t get any closer to the table where the body of that woman who had helped me dress in a very bad way was tied. I frowned before looking at him angrily, not understanding why he was torturing her if she was part of his service.
