Chapter 9
I looked out the window, watching the sun go down through the trees, creating a perfect twilight. I got up from my window sill to go to the bathroom, I let the water run in the bathtub as I shed my pajamas.
When there was enough water to bathe me, I stepped into the tub amidst the bubbles created by the lavender-scented bath salts. I laid my head on the edge of the tub, on which lay a soft towel so I could do that; I took a deep breath, making the soft smell of lavender soothe me completely. I did nothing, I let my body warm up with the high temperature of the water. Lately, I felt very cold, which is strange in shapeshifters; I knew perfectly well that my body heat couldn’t decrease for the reason that if that happened, I could get hypothermia and die of cold.
