Chapter 24

Grace’s POV

Her words slammed into me hard, and I staggered under the force of it. “I think you are a very terrible person, Jane. Why are you so happy tearing down other people just for the fun of it?”

She scoffed. “I will keep the rest of my words till after he dumps you as he has always done to those other women. Make no mistake about this; Kelvin Morgan is not the kind of man to commit.”

With another glare for me, she sauntered out of the room, and I wondered how long until something went wrong. If Jane knew about my bedroom tryst with the boss, it would be public knowledge soon.

“You are really a magician, Grace. How did you convince him to let the kids come to the office?” Kira asked and scooped some ice cream into her mouth.

“Well, I had to tell him what he’s missing out on if they don’t come. The kids adore him, and they were out of their minds with happiness when they heard the news. I’m glad it turned out fine.”
