Chapter 19. She Nailed It
Two hours later.
When Sarah was busy practicing in front of the mirror, suddenly, someone knocked on the door. And before long, Rudolph appeared with his trademark unique mustache.
“Are you ready?” he asked, one eyebrow shot high.
Sarah breathed out heavily. She slapped her cheek once and said, “Yes! Let’s do this!”
“Sarah!” Matthew called her before she went out of the room.
“Yes?”
“Good luck!” he said earnestly. Sarah smiled, “Thanks,” she replied, feeling the butterflies inside her belly.
With her head held high, Sarah followed Rudolph into the meeting room. As she stepped inside, all eyes were on her. They were judging her, whispering and commenting about her, doubting her. That made Sarah feel even more awkward, but she also felt more and more challenged to prove that she was Victoria Abbot.
She nodded politely to all the shareholders and sat in the middle.
