Chapter 25. New Girl in the Mansion
Sarah returned to the mansion at night, her hair tangled and her face puffy. She must show that she was grieving. But at the mansion’s door, she was greeted by Rudolph, who immediately pulled her to the library, even though it was already 1:00 pm.
“Can’t we talk tomorrow? I’m so tired,” she said honestly. A few meters next to her, Matthew nodded his head in agreement. But Rudolph seemed unfazed. He folded his arms across his chest, staring at Sarah with squinted eyes.
“Where are you two from?” he asked interrogatively.
“A psychiatrist, Matthew, recommended her to me...” replied Sarah casually.
“Psychiatrist? At 11 o’clock at night?” he asked, trying to sniff out any lies from them.
“Why not?! I need help right away! You think it’s easy being me! I saw the person who just talked to me die tragically, and that death could have been related to me or something! You have no idea how devastated I was!” raved Sarah. She looked like someone who was traumatized.
