Chapter 20. The Information

“You still can’t reach Victoria?” asked Rudolph as he returned to Victoria’s room. Sarah, who was reading the file in her hand, looked up with a gloomy face, then shook her head.

“I think she didn’t believe that I was the one who sent the message, suddenly her cellphone died and I couldn’t contact her anymore,” she said, trying not to seem like she was lying.

“Is that so? How did you plan to communicate with her before?” asked Rudolph, frowning curiously.

“She said she would call me, and all I had to do was wait,” Sarah lied. Next to her, Matthew just looked at Rudolph and Sarah in turn.

Rudolph took a deep breath. “Alright, you can start working as usual now. I have to go back to the mansion,” said Rudolph as he turned around and left.
