Chapter 7. Scorned

By the time I get home, I’m exhausted from thinking about Rick. Not only has he been treating me like shit at work for the last five months, but he also got to face fuck me and reject me afterward. I pace my tiny apartment, the powerlessness making me restless and furious. I wish I could call Chandler, but the shame keeps me from picking up the phone. I’ll just have to find a way to fix this mess and get back on the revenge track.

I try my hardest to calm down and think. Before long, I’m struck by an idea. I pick up the phone and call a taxi. When the taxi guy arrives, I direct him to Rick’s apartment building. I’m done thinking my way out of the situation. 

Within a few minutes, I’m knocking on Rick’s door. This time, I’m not nervous but eager. I’m still a bit angry, so I slowly breathe to relax.
