Chantal’s POV
As the day went by, I hadn’t pushed Dad to let me continue presenting the proposal, mostly because maybe they didn’t trust me anymore. We also didn’t get time together for ourselves. I didn’t know, but he was out on a business project or meeting. I hadn’t asked too much, and it seemed important to have something to deal with on my own too.
Now, I was packing my belongings to take to Mateo’s office. It felt like a waste of time, knowing that after holding this position as the person in charge of merchandising some new products, which were supposed to prove something about my ability to seal a deal, Dad didn’t listen to me either, and I failed as his secretary. But that’s fine. I can learn a lot from him, since he’s an ace at sealing deals even though he’s the CEO of our company.
