Mateo’s POV
We were at the bar now, and it was already 6 pm. I hadn’t realized the time, and we were on our 3rd bottle. We were drinking a little slower because I just wanted to chill.
We were talking about how confused I was about having Phoebe instead of Chantal. I didn’t know if the tables had finally turned, but I didn’t like what was happening.
The other day, I was certain that I would go crawling back to Phoebe when I saw her, but when I saw Chantal, I felt like someone who had walked in a very long desert, and Chantal was the only lake with very clean water. She was the only reason for me to survive. I don’t know, when I’m with Phoebe, I’m okay, but when I was with Chantal, she made me feel all sorts of things, and it was unexplainable.
“So, what are you up to?” Henry asked.
