Mateo’s POV

Yes, we had to wait a whole nine or eight months, but that was fine with me. She placed a pregnancy test in front of me, which came back positive, but I wasn’t nervous because I was confident that I wasn’t the one she was looking for.

“Now I’ve provided you with some proof. How about my pregnancy? You must lend your support to me!” she exclaimed, shouting hysterically.

And that was my cue that she couldn’t be asked more nicely. Just then, the door opened, and Chantal walked through it, heading straight for the seated lady.

“If you’re pregnant, you should test with this one right now,” she told the woman, handing her the rectangular small box containing the pregnancy test.

“Jane,” she added with a smirk on her face.
