Chantal’s POV
She didn’t argue any longer because she was afraid of being embarrassed if she did so.
But before she left, she made a pit stop.
“It’s possible that I truly mistook you for another man, and I apologize for any inconvenience,” she claimed, appearing to be an apologetic maniac that didn’t bother thinking about who might be affected by her stupid plan.
“Please try to keep an eye on your backs,” she expressed herself in a certain way. Then she left.
The octopus had vanished, but the things she said remained and became ingrained in our minds.
