Chapter 115. Spiteful

Elaine stepped into the Swernbach house, eyes shut, trying to mentally prepare herself to face Melvin and his family. Trepidation coursed through her veins. Excitement because she was finally going to dump Melvin. In a few days, the ring would be hers. Fear because she had traded Melvin’s chain to get the ring. It was not in her possession and she could not completely guarantee that it was safe.

“Trust Mr. Rosen,” she whispered as she opened her eyes.

She gasped at the sight she saw before her. The gasp was involuntary but even if someone had told her to expect to see Andrew engaged in a lip lock with another woman, she still wouldn’t have been prepared for it.
