Chapter 118. Kath and Harris
“Okay, will no one do the introductions?” The ashy-blonde haired woman beside Melvin turned to Elaine. “Like, who are you and what are you doing at our family’s table?”
“That’s a bit rude,” Melvin’s father said.
Elaine did not care. While she enjoyed the food that his grandmother had prepared and chipped in a little bit here and there when questions were asked, she watched Melvin play with the food on his plate. His jaw was set. He was more upset than she had ever seen him. And she couldn’t help but feel like this was largely her fault. She should not have requested for Tom’s phone but she had been so excited to get the ring that she wanted to gloat.
“No, I think it’s rude that we’re all eating and we don’t know who she is,” the woman continued.
