Chapter 128. Damage Control

“How could you? How dare you?” Melvin’s yells brought her back to the present.

She felt Andrew’s lips tug at hers as she tried to separate from him.

“Both of you!” Melvin screamed.

That seemed to get through to Andrew’s head. He pushed her off him and before she could regain her balance, he was crawling off the bed.

Melvin’s eyes rested on hers. The disappointment in them was nothing compared to the anger he exuded.

“I can explain.” She sat up.

“There is nothing to explain. I was right. How long has this been going on for?”

Elaine shook her head. “Never. This is the first time.”

“Oh shut up. You don’t expect me to believe you now, right?” Melvin turned to Andrew while he was buttoning up his shirt. “And you, you’re supposed to be my brother.”

“I am,” Andrew said.

“You know what, you two deserve each other,” Melvin said, turning from the room and slamming the door behind him.

“Andrew?” Elaine pursed her lips at him.
