“I really don’t think you should go to the meeting like this.” Jules straightened Andrew’s tie and added a clip to it, then added as if it were an afterthought made necessary by his employment status. “Sir.”
“And I’m trying to remember when I asked for your opinion.”
The coffee had stopped to work as an energy drink a few days ago, instead it zapped him of all the strength he had left. It took sheer will and the terror of being visited by Melvin’s ghost to stay awake. That alone kept him up at night and was the only reason he could make an effort to finish the Charleston deal so quickly.
He hadn’t handled the file properly since his grandfather’s heart attack. But seeing it now, he had to admit that Melvin made some good points. Plenty points that could not simply be tossed away. Points that he wished his brother was there to explain.
