Chapter 73. Sour Note

Andrew stood by the main door, waiting for Melvin to come in. He’d called Elaine’s phone five times but she’d refused to pick his call. Was her date with Melvin that good?

He walked toward the staircase, past his grandfather’s statue room, and sat, resting his elbows on his knees. He’d returned from Elaine’s empty apartment after he’d called Annette to find out Elaine’s whereabouts.
