Chapter 99. Outcast

Anna could not believe what she was hearing. She chuckled in disbelief and did not move. She felt glued to the floor as her heart hammered even more in her chest.

“You’re not serious, are you?”

The woman looked up from her desk and what she was doing and said, “Do you want me to get security?”

“I’m just here so I can get money, that’s literally the job of the bank.” Anna could not help but argue with the woman. She was so annoyed and disrespected.

“Okay? There’s a few cues outside, go and stand on one of them. But if you think that I’m going to serve you as if you’re special after what your boyfriend did, then you got it all wrong, sweetheart.” She scoffed. 

“Why are you so pressed about this? I didn't do anything.” Anna could feel the tears filling her eyes, and she hated this because she felt like it would make her look weak.
