Chapter 190. The Safe

Anna cursed under her breath. Chadwick was out cold, his breathing slow and heavy. She shook his shoulder lightly, but he only let out a lazy groan before his head lolled to the side. 

Useless.

She checked her phone screen…at least she had the recording. It wasn’t enough to take Victor down, but it was something. 

If she could just find the right leverage, the right piece of evidence to corroborate Chadwick’s drunken confession, then she could rip Victor’s empire apart from the inside.

But again, she needed the man awake. So she tried again, but this time, she slapped him hard across his face.

He shot up. His eyes wide and alert. “What the f*ck was that for?” He said, breathing deeply.

“We’re still talking,” Anna said in a firm tone. “How do I find paperwork to prove everything you just said about the sex trafficking?”
