Chapter 191. Straight to Voicemail

Anna didn’t stop running until she reached the motorcycle. Her hands shook as she fumbled with the keys that were already in the ignition.

Come on, come on.

The engine roared to life, and she swung her leg over, gripping the handlebars tightly. Her heart was pounding so hard she could feel it in her throat.

She took one last glance at the alley. No sign of Carlos. No sign of the guards.

But she could still hear the distant shouts. She wanted to wait for him to stay but she knew she could not.

Not with what she had in her hands. She had no choice. Or maybe that was the excuse she kept twig herself. 

Clenching her jaw, Anna twisted the throttle and took off.

The city lights blurred as she weaved through traffic, every nerve in her body on high alert. 

She needed to get as far away from that house, she needed to get to Vito. Even going back to Victor's mansion seemed risky and wrong.
