Chapter 66. There Will Be Blood (2)

As the procession entered the room, Keira withdrew from Aaron and sat up straight. She eyed the three newcomers she didn’t know would be here with suspicion. Of all the people Madz could have sent, if she had to send anyone at all, Cameron, Flynn and Sam made the least sense for a peaceful surrender. They were the sons of the people Calvin took out. No one had more reason to want to return the favor.

“I trust that this is acceptable to The House of Assassins and that this concludes our business,” said Lilith, holding out a hand to Keira.

Out of the corner of her eye, Keira watched as Flynn discreetly stepped away from Calvin, whispering something under his breath.

“Negative. I don’t have a shot. Get the fuck out of my way!” Kate responded as Keira’s hand made contact with Lilith’s.

“Well someone does. There’s a second shooter,” said Cameron, spotting the second sniper in the room next to the one Kate was in.

“It’s not ours. Hit the dirt!” Kate ordered.<
