Chapter 23

A series of police patrols arrive in the woods, causing all the youth to be surprised.

“What is going on?” Laura asked as Reid drew her away from the cops who were getting out of their patrol cars.

“Perhaps someone will call the cops and report us,” Reid claims.

“Who is going to do that?” Laura exclaimed, but she had already accompanied Reid on the run. On the run, they come across Alex, Audrey, and Zeke, who are carrying a wounded man and a crying woman.

Reid and Laura come to a halt in front of the group.

“Now I understand why the cops came here! These people are reporting us!” Reid yelled.

“It’s for an emergency!” Alex’s reasoning.

Reid and Laura examined the bloodied and unconscious man.

“This is what happens when people don’t know how to listen! We warned you right away that it doesn’t go far from the group!” exclaimed Laura.

“Hey, bitch! Don’t talk nonsense! This won’t happen if you don’t hold a party here in the woods!” Au
