Chapter 8. Payment in Kind

Brandon fumed after hearing everything. They hadn't expected her brothers would be so irresponsible and difficult with her.

"I want to strangle that son of a bitch," swore Daxton.

"But we have to find him before that," said Brandon, thinking hard. "I think we can approach my dad's PI. What do you say?" Asked Brandon and Daxton's face lit up with hope.

"Yeah, that's a good idea," said Daxton. They decided to first check the social media before approaching Brandon's dad's PI.

Daxton returned home, but he couldn't drive thoughts of Aurora out of his head. Despite being with his family, his mind dwelt upon what Aurora had told him. She had gone through so much that his heart went out to her.

The next day, after work, Daxton went to an infant's shop to get all that he needed to set up Leo's nursery. After loading everything into his car, he drove over to Aurora's house.

Aurora was shocked to see him. She hadn't expected to see him again after he h
