Chapter 13. Staying over at Her House
Aurora was shocked to see Daxton arrive with a mountain load of groceries along with his own stuff. "I thought some urgent work had come up, and you got held up," she said anxiously. Seeing him taking longer than usual, she had the feeling that maybe he was busy with his girl, Meg. In fact, he hadn't arrived for two days after the night he left to go to his Meg. She hadn't expected him to come around at all.
She was a little heartbroken and very weak from stress and lack of sleep and, after a third day of waiting, fell very ill. Her blood pressure dropped considerably, and she just didn't have the energy to raise her head from the bed. With no food items left at home and no energy to go out, she had just fed Leo somehow and slept when he did, surviving on just milk and cereal. Now, with that too being over, she was worried. Her head was swooning too much to walk to the en-suite, let alone to the departmental store.
