As we walked through the palace hallways, the only sound that could be heard was the loud clicking of Emma’s heels. It was clear that Will had made her extremely mad with his proud declaration of having a wife. It was the first time I’d seen the Queen so speechless. The fact that Will had so boldly lied to her was baffling. It took me a few years to understand Will. It’s just that when he had boldly defended me in front of the queen and declared me his wife, something inside me was touched by it.
I came to the realization that the Seelie palace wasn’t just a place but some sort of enchantment. Each hall was different yet the same. We had been walking for a long time, yet when we were outside and I was gazing up at the palace that had magically appeared, it hadn’t seemed this large. Surely we would have reached the end by now.
Will kept glancing at me every once in a while, his eyes a little
