Chapter 72. Worst Case Scenario
Three months have passed since the day she got employed and life has been pretty routine — work, eat, sleep, and go for her antenatal. Staring at the woman in the mirror, she observes that she is slowly becoming a shadow of herself. She has put on some weight and the protrusion of her belly has become more apparent.
Clad in a sea green gown with a raven-colored blazer on top, she remains beautiful, however not comparable to what she used to be. Somehow it scares her. The bad dreams, hallucinations, and ever-present hunger get worse with every passing morning.
Nowadays, she has been peeing regularly, and the vomiting, waist cramps, and constant fatigue is beginning to get catch up on her. This is probably the fifth time she has visited the restroom today.
