Gabbie POV

“Gabbie?” Kade called from the bathroom.

I couldn’t rip my eyes from the phone. My Dad was Erik Chambers. He’d been evading wolves all his life. He couldn’t be killed now.

My Dad was a hunter for hire, which meant he worked for wolves to kill other wolves. My Father was a treasure trove of secrets, and not the good kind. He had dirt on every high-profile Alpha. They all knew if there was a man to get the job done, it was Erik Chambers.

Now his reputation’s come back to bite him in the ass.

What do I do? I can’t just leave him. However, he was a skilled Hunter. He knew how to take care of himself. Fear still clawed at my heart. I didn’t want to lose him.
