Gabbie POV

A knock came from the door, followed by footsteps marching into our bedroom. I’d been in bed all day, clinging to the sheets and drifting in and out of consciousness. Emery flew in first, followed by Elowen and Leiah.

Emery threw herself at me.

"I'm so glad you're okay! It must have been awful. Those rogues are such horrible beings!”

“Yeah, good thing Kade was there to slaughter them. It’s just weird that one of them was Baxter. I didn’t care for him, it’s just a weird feeling,” Leiah said, rubbing her shoulders.
