Chapter 5. The Beginning of a New Life
The other times he had possessed her that day, Moses had been more affectionate, but Afhany refused to let his charms seduce her. She let herself be possessed as an autonomous.
"You are very cold, but I will break this ice ... Because even without your cooperation, it gives me a lot of pleasure to fuck you. It's something I haven't felt with any woman before, and I want you to feel it, too. You should give yourself up, Afhany. You'll be happier if you do."
"Did you want me to reciprocate after everything you did to me?"
"Afhany... I don't really care much if you match me or not... You have the most beautiful body I've ever seen, and I can be content to enjoy it, even if you don't feel the same way."
"You really are the most disgusting man I've had the displeasure of knowing."
He stood up.
"Rest Afhany! During the night, you will need all that energy you have in your tongue to satisfy me... I think I should have it pulled out..." He said seriously and thoughtfully. "But she could be of great value in the pleasures I envision for both of us."
Moses left but left Afhany thoughtful. She stood up slowly and looked at herself in the mirror. She really was beautiful. Her hair was fire red, and she had green eyes and a well-proportioned body. She just wasn't very tall. But she was sure that her appearance would help her in her mission to get out of there. It was the only weapon she had. She was going to take revenge on Moses. She went back to bed and fell asleep.
She woke up feeling that someone was running a hand through her hair. He felt relieved to see Matheus' affectionate smile.
"Hi!" He said cheerfully.
"Hi... I'm so glad it's you."
"I guess it didn't go down too well with my brother..."
"And how could it? He bought me and humiliated me!"
"Do you know that I already asked for it?"
"And he accepted?"
"He said he would share it with me if the beast would allow it. But only after manhood week."
"Beast?" Afhany remembered Moses' red eyes. There was a beast inside him.
Matheus laughed.
"That's how we refer to the god who protects Pharaoh."
Afhany was indifferent. 'Beast' was exactly how she would describe Moses' personality.
"Does he have many other concubines?"
"Not really... With you, there are three."
"And are they 'split' too?"
"Not really! They are always fighting over Moses' company... Unlike you, they love him."
"How awful! Have they never revolted from living this life?"
"Revolt? But what are you talking about? They are all lucky to be chosen because they have the life of a queen and are the most beautiful in the whole world. They are priceless. They are priceless, but they are very valuable. Any man in the kingdom would give an arm to spend a night with one of the chosen ones."
Afhany was increasingly surprised and perplexed. How could anyone accept a man who used them as an expensive toy and still love him?
"Afhany, get dressed, and I'll take you to meet them. I'm going out, and I'll be right back."
Afhany waited for him to leave to get up. She put on some clothes without paying much attention to the wealth of clothes in her closet and totally forgot her assumption that she would only live in that windowless hut and that she would only have poor sweaters to wear.
Soon, Matheus returned, and they began a veritable tour of the palace. Without meaning to, Afhany ended up getting interested in the place that was full of stories and legends of the ancestors. Every room, every piece of furniture, every object had its own story. After walking through almost the entire palace, as Matheus revealed to her that to show her the whole palace would need at least two days, they passed through a huge hall that led to the first concubine's quarters. On the walls were many portraits of ancient Pharaohs. She asked Matheus who they were. Matheus told her proudly.
"These are our ancestors. I will tell you a secret. All the great Pharaohs of our family had hidden powers granted by the god Théo. Théo is the god of magic and occult powers."
"What powers?"
"They could see how someone would look in the future. Whether they would be beautiful or not. That's how the Pharaohs chose the most beautiful concubines and wives for their sons. That's how my father chose her for Moses. The Pharaohs traveled all over the world, choosing concubines and wives as soon as their children were born. They bought and appointed a guardian until they were old enough to serve their son. But my father felt that this power was too little. He longed for other powers and so he consulted the god Theo about this possibility, and the god demanded that he get him a mortal he had fallen in love with, and this mortal was my father's favorite concubine. With great sadness, he sacrificed her and offered her to the god who was very happy and kept his word and added to him and his generation also the power to read minds and guess the future." Matheus knew that was just a legend and not reality, but he continued when he saw the glint of interest in Afhany's eye. "But the concubine who also became a goddess after death and her words became magic was furious and together with the powers sent a curse... We could guess the future, but we would turn into ferocious tigers every time we used this power. And every time we lay with a woman, we would have to satisfy the beast's desire first. That is why we have to perform the ritual of manhood to this day. For the beast in us demands that we satisfy it." He laughed inside. That was what he had already heard about the Pharaohs from the servants, but he knew that the ritual of manhood began with Moses.
"Is that why there is that tiger image where I was raped? And now I remember. Your pharaoh's eyes were.... different."
"The beast demands that the girl be a virgin. And it is true. Our eyes change color every time we lie with a virgin."
"But that's just legend. They can't really read our minds!"
"It's not just a legend, Afhany. Know that you have never deceived me. I don't need to read your mind to know that for you, I am just a means to escape from my brother. But I want you all the same. You will be mine. But you won't get much out of it."
Afhany looked at him, puzzled and confused. So he knew she intended to use him for revenge, and yet he still wanted her? It was as if he also found in her a way to hurt Moses. Maybe she and Matheus would become allies after all. It was the beginning of a life she did not want but was forced to accept.
"Come!" He said, opening a door.
To Afhany's mind, that door was her path to freedom. However, her sincere heart told her that this was only the beginning. And that nothing would change her real condition. She walked through the door and saw the luxury of the hall in front of her, knowing that she was trapped there forever. Escape was impossible.
