Chapter 6. The Meeting of the Concubines
Afhany followed him, still a little dizzy with discovery. They entered a richly furnished room, but unlike her own, this one was completely personalized. She could tell by the paintings and sculptures arranged in every corner.
"Demy! Demy is here?" Matheus came shouting. Afhany remembered Matheus mentioning that Moses was in love with this Demy. She became curious.
"Yes, Matheus! Come closer, please!" She was in her bed where a veil prevented her from seeing beyond a figure.
Matheus unceremoniously approached and nimbly pulled the veil away. Afhany took a step back in surprise. The first concubine was what she could never have imagined. Her beauty was undeniable. She was a black woman with plump lips! Her eyes and all over her body were painted.
