Chapter 15. Keeping My Beast in Check

Sean’s POV

I had wanted to continue to ignore Iris, after I made sure she saw me because as soon as I saw her, I knew she was my mate and I desired her greatly. But I had also heard that she was an ice queen and I didn’t want her to take my feelings for granted. I tried to pretend that I didn’t know she existed after our eyes met but I could not stop the way my body was being drawn towards her.

I left my cousin, Eileen who had been keeping me company while I stole glances at Iris. A young man she herself had been eyeing all evening asked her for a dance, and this gave me the needed opportunity and excuse to walk up to Iris asking for a dance as well.
