Miranda’s POV

I have had lots of men coming to me but I have not really given them any time. I thought of Clive whose name I have just found out to be Adrian Blake. I recalled how he had first come into my life.

I had been returning from picking some fruits and herbs in a forest a bit far from my home when I noticed a figure sprawled on the ground.

At first, I was scared to go find out if he needed help. Rogues had been on rampage recently and my father had asked me not to go on these errands alone but I was used to it.

But what if this was just a trap and as soon as I get to that sprawled out figure, rogues will jump out and attack me? I thought in fear as I looked around.
