Chapter 73. I’m Not a Dimwit

Third-Person POV

Her hands trembling with impatience and anticipation, she started unbuttoning Adrian’s shirt. She had waited for this for so long and now that her greatest wishes was about to be fulfilled, she couldn’t wait. She was already wet with need. It didn’t matter that the man in question thought she was someone else or that he would be furious if he knew how she had deceived him. She didn’t want to think about all that.

She started tugging at his trousers, trying to unzip him, then he opened his eyes and looked at her. He froze and then pushed her away.

“You are not her!” he said, his voice surprisingly firm and sober. “You are not my Iris,” he repeated.

“Adrian, what are you saying?” she replied, desperate to divert him. “Of course I am Iris,” she said smiling. “Can’t you recognize me?”

“Do you take me for a fool?” he asked standing and staggering. “I might be tipsy but I am not a dimwit. I could never mistake you for my Iris,” he said
