Anita’s POV

Just yesterday, I passed out from seeing Jason stalking me, and now this. The content in the box got my heart beating faster than usual, and my panic attack was just a few heartbeats away.

I stared down with disgust at the content of the box.

Jason was at it again; he was hell-bent on making my life miserable. He had promised he was done with me. Why was I going through all of this again?

This guy was a psycho; how could he?

I noticed a little note on the side of the black box inside.

My lovely dearest puppet, Anita,

Here’s a little gift for you.

I know, I know—I once said I was done with you. But look at you now. You’ve glowed up, reached a whole new level I can’t help but want a taste of again. How does it feel to be such a beautiful little puppet?

So no, I’m not done with you. In fact, I don’t think I’ll ever be done with you—unless, of course, you stop glowing. But why would you?
