Chapter 17
Madison and Nathan were already seated at a table with Mr. Jones near the pool before Henry arrived. Their cups were steaming hot with coffee, but no one was drinking. Henry met this kind of seriousness when he arrived. The matter which was to be discussed was nothing more than the suspected fraudulent activities going on in the company.
“I’m sorry I am late,” Henry apologized for being more than an hour late.
“I reached out to you before getting to them,” Mr. Jones said, not giving Henry a chance to excuse his lackadaisical attitude.
“Let’s just forget it,” Nathan said in order to avoid a verbal scuffle.
“Where are the documents I asked to see?” Mr. Jones asked Henry.
Henry neatly spread out all the documents Madison had given him at the office the previous night. Mr. Jones strictly went through them, his face saddening with every passing one.
