Chapter 18
Madison and Nathan were having breakfast in the morning on a public holiday. They had barely spent any time together during the weekdays. They were caught up in so many things—from Madison’s face day at work to the case of fraud, which they were still trying to wrap their fingers around.
“Thinking of it, you really made an impact on your first day of work, impressive.”
“I think I only created confusion,” Madison coated that with a smile. She didn’t want Nathan to perceive how bad she was feeling.
“No,” Nathan objected to her opinion. “You made us realize what we couldn’t have.”
“I should get you an employee of the month award,” Nathan said hysterically. Madison also felt flattered.
“You weren’t this funny when I first met you,” Madison conveyed to Nathan. Nathan had changed a lot, for the best, after getting to know Madison.
“It was a hidden talent,” Nathan flattered himself.
