Chapter 69
“Shh!” Henry asked Sia to keep quiet. They were startled by the rustling of leaves that emanated from the window side.
“What is it?” Sia asked in a very low voice.
“I think someone is outside, listening to us,” Henry said.
Henry wanted to act oblivious to what was going on. “Just keep calm, Sia,” he said. “I’ll go check it out.”
“I hope you are enjoying the meal,” Henry said in a louder voice. "I’ll be back; I want to get something.” He spoke loudly, possibly so that whoever was lurking behind the shadows would hear him and feel him. He wanted it to appear that they were still unaware of another presence.
“Okay,” Sia smiled.
Henry sneaked out through the back. He tried as much as possible to remain inconspicuous, and he succeeded in doing so. He had his gun with him; his silencer was on.
“You?” Sia could hear voices coming from the back of the building some minutes after Henry left to catch the intruder.
She waited patiently in suspens
