Chapter 46. The Real Man
Rachel came back and instantly held his hand. Luther’s anxious face had gone and he put on a good smile. While he’s listening to the fifth performer, a woman that is on a different class, Rachel turns back to the seat where Ezekiel had vanished.
No one has taken his seat yet, but later on, someone will.
She can’t seem to shake off what Ezekiel stated earlier. He confessed his heart out, without even leaving a string, or even a hidden emotion that he perfectly concealed in his brave and strong façade. Rachel was still thinking of his strong words, the firm desire of wanting her to be his, and loving her from afar.
While interlocking her fingers to Luther, Rachel can’t help but to look at the entrance of the dining hall, from which she came, and from where she had gone to the restroom.
Ezekiel wasn’t still here, and she was next to the woman on whom Mrs. Littlewick summoned.
“Music is so beautiful, Rachel. Why didn’t I realize it before?”
