Chapter 64. An Uninvited Guest
For her, he was an uninvited guest. Rachel halted in her place. She doesn’t want Luther to think that this is something that she invited herself with. The shock registering in his face spoke more of a surprise than identifying where it happened.
Ezekiel stood an inch away from Rachel, and King was talking to Luther, but his eyes are on Rachel. This isn’t the kind of reunion she wanted, or even, Rachel doesn’t want to reconnect with him again. It felt like a headache remembering how she shouted things at Luther just to let him stay away.
