Scarlett’s POV
Besides, Gage’s gratitude for my life seems another reason to believe that I was struck by something; the way my head hurt was probably there. I don’t know how long I try with me, panicking that I might have become paralyzed, but I’m flooded with relief when I’m finally able to move my fingers. I guess it’s the mental coordination aspect, another reason for me to draw the necessary conclusion for my situation. Replaying the incident still feels like a dream. One second, I was running; the next second was a loud crash and then...black.
The rest of my body begins moving with relative ease when I move my fingers, but it comes with a cost - pain. It’s a price I decided I’ll have to weigh in certain circumstances as to whether or not I’ll take the pain when I need to get a feeling of something.
The first choice is pretty easy.
